KS2 (Year 6) SATs past papers
KS2 (Year 6) past papers are useful because they show what SATs questions feel like. They also help families spot whether a wobble is really about content, confidence, timing, or just unfamiliar wording.
A simple approach works better than treating every paper like a final rehearsal:
- Use small chunks (10 to 15 questions), not full papers every time.
- Review together and name the pattern behind each mistake.
- Practise the pattern before doing another paper section.

Note: There are no official KS2 SATs papers for 2020 or 2021. Those years were cancelled due to COVID-19, so any papers claiming to be from those years are unofficial.

What to watch for as a parent
- Is your child rushing because the format feels unfamiliar?
- Are mistakes concentrated in one topic (fractions, inference, punctuation)?
- Does your child recover after an error, or spiral?
SATs prep should improve both skill and emotional steadiness. If either one is missing, adjust the plan.
